For the 2011 Workshop, in addition to the general topic list, we are soliciting the submission of papers on highlighted topic areas that address emerging technologies or issues of timely interest to the oceanographic community.
Spatial/Temporal Turbulence as Seen by Near-Surface Sensors.
Current, Wave and Turbulence Measurements as Part of Observing and Forecasting Systems.
Data Quality Assurance for Wave and Current Measurement Systems.
Invited Session on Phased Array Surface Current and Wave Radar Systems.
There are three Special Sessions planned during the workshop:
Phased Array Surface Current and Wave Radar Systems - Monday, 21 March at 10:30 am
Spatial/Temporal Turbulence Monday, 21 March at 1:30 pm
Standards in Current, Waves and Turbulence Measurements - Tuesday, 22 March at 1 pm
We will continue to encourage technical papers on Current, Waves and Turbulence Measurement topics traditionally covered in previous CMTC workshops.
For the past 32 years, our workshops were known as “The Current Measurement Technology Conference (CMTC)”. Due to the many changes in the science and technology of current, waves and turbulence measurement, it is fitting that we change the workshop title to incorporate them.
Student Grants: IEEE OES is pleased to provide up to four young investigator grants to students and Postdocs to support participating in the IEEE/OES TENTH CURRENT, WAVES AND TURBULENCE MEASUREMENT WORKSHOP (CWTM).
